His son asked the same question thousands of Minnesota gun owners have been asking: Is the gun ban going to pass? Is it coming to the House? Rep. Warwas's answer is direct: "We're the backstop. The House GOP is the backstop for these bad bills." In one of the most clear-eyed floor moments of the debate, Rep. Warwas reminds Minnesotans of a hard truth most people have forgotten: without House Republicans holding the line at the start of this session, the DFL's massive gun control package would already be law in Minnesota.
