Serious answer: earning respect and winning votes are two VERY different things. But also, there's nothing inappropriate about that outfit you're highlighting.
A Serious Question for Politicians on Both Sides of the Aisle: Is there a future in public service for those who believe that provocative or overly revealing attire is an effective way to earn respect and win votes? Far too many politicians today appear in public wearing form-fitting clothing that draws attention to their figure rather than their ideas or record. This is not an isolated occurrence. The American people deserve leaders who focus on principles, results, and substantive service to our nation, not those who rely on personal image or sex appeal to gain support. Voters see through these tactics. True leadership requires dressing and conducting oneself with the dignity and professionalism befitting a serious public servant. Anything less distracts from the critical issues facing our country and undermines the trust We the People place in our elected officials.

A half-dozen guns, a hundred or more books, at least one concert t-shirt, me, and the house itself (which is also celebrating its 250th anniversary this year).
Trying to prove a point. Do you have anything in your house that’s been around for 30 years?

Last night, Tradition Community Association did the right thing and permanently repealed its blanket firearms ban. Those who choose to conceal carry for lawful, defensive purposes are protected by Florida law, and we will use this office to defend those protections.
Tradition Community Association agreed to stop enforcing its unlawful firearm ban in common areas. We are working with the Association to ensure this policy change is permanent and complies with FL law. For others who’ve reached out about their HOAs, don’t worry, we hear you.

Except it was unconstitutional and you got smacked by the courts for trying to end run them. Vibes don't make it constitutional.
Universal background checks save lives – @GMcGuireVA passed a bill to do just that. We won’t stop fighting for commonsense gun violence prevention.

When you want to join the antigun club but realize your territory is in the Third Circuit.

The bill the Virgin Islands is considering is basically a speedrun of all the major gun control. Sensitive places (including vampire rule), AWB, mag cap, under-21 ban, etc. While our letter offers to address all these subjects substantively if the territory's senate wants to get into that in our possible testimony on Friday morning, we make a much more practical argument: Just wait on pending SCOTUS and Third Circuit rulings before passing anything. (The Virgin Islands are in the Third Circuit) Why risk the expense of litigation, while already facing a DOJ lawsuit, when controlling courts are deciding many of these issues? The letter:

I'm talking with Virgin Islands Safe Gun Owners' Kosei Ohno about this bill on today's Cam & Company. Interview should be up around 4 pm ET.

SAF urges the Virgin Islands legislature to reconsider an expansive gun control bill in light of pending Supreme Court and Third Circuit cases. SAF today submitted formal testimony to the 36th Legislature of the United States Virgin Islands opposing Bill No. 36-0144, which would adopt expansive gun control laws in the territory. SAF advises the Virgin Islands legislature to adopt a wait-and-see approach given that multiple pending cases before the U.S. Supreme Court and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals will directly impact the constitutionality of many of the bill’s provisions. In a letter to Senate President Milton E. Potter, SAF highlighted that the amendment contains numerous Second Amendment violations—including restrictions on carry in places where such limits are impermissible, bans on common arms in violation of Heller, and exorbitant fees that effectively tax the exercise of a constitutional right—but emphasized a practical reason for delay. “Many of the very laws that the bill would enact are already awaiting court rulings that would be binding on the Virgin Islands,” SAF wrote. “There is no reason for taxpayers to incur the expense of potential lawsuits, especially at a time when the Virgin Islands are already under federal scrutiny for related issues. These questions are all about to be answered in other cases.” The letter specifically notes that the amendment’s “vampire rule” restricting carry on private property open to the public without affirmative permission is set to be decided by the Supreme Court as soon as this week in Wolford v. Lopez. It also flags en banc Third Circuit cases addressing “assault weapon” and magazine bans and sensitive-places restrictions (including SAF's case Koons v. Attorney General of New Jersey)—all of which involve issues directly implicated by the Virgin Islands legislation. SAF offered to provide detailed substantive arguments on each constitutional defect if senators are interested, but stressed that the pending litigation alone warrants pausing the bill rather than rushing it into law only to face likely invalidation while saddling taxpayers with unnecessary legal bills. Bizarre to call it "a tattoo that some say resembles a Nazi symbol" when even Platner himself acknowledges that it was a literal Nazi symbol
Tuesday's 'Today' marked only the second time a morning or evening NBC newscast mentioned Graham Platner since last week's The New York Times article about Lyndsey Fifield. Talk about vague when explaining it away: “But Platner has weathered a series of scandals, including the most recent recently where three different women accused him of being toxic and unsettling during their relationships. Now, NBC News has not been able to verify The New York Times reporting on this story, but Platner has said that the accusations are politically motivated and in some cases, not true. Now, Platner also acknowledging that he was forced to cover up a tattoo that some say resembles a Nazi symbol. He said he got that tattoo while he was in the Marines and didn’t know the significance at the time.”

Gordon Wood wrote the lead essay for "Democracy and the American Revolution," the first volume in @AEI's "America at 250" series. I had to pick my jaw up off the ground the first time I read how he summed up the democratic force the Revolution unleashed:
Absolutely devastated by the loss of Gordon Wood. What a gift to have gotten to know and learn from him over the past few years

Thankful for @TheFP actually contacting sources I gave NYT and verifying I did, in fact, have friends who knew about Graham’s abuse/corroborated everything. I never would’ve spoken out if NYT hadn’t convinced me—but even after their betrayal I’m confident I did the right thing.
Lyndsey Fifield told ‘The New York Times’ Graham Platner emotionally abused her and became physical multiple times. So why is she under attack? Frannie Block and Audrey Fahlberg report. thefp.com/p/graham-platners-…

GOA and our allies have filed an Emergency Motion to Reinstate Hearing outlining why the Lancaster Circuit Court should put the hearing back on.   Stay tuned for updates! We will not stop fighting.
🚨BREAKING🚨 GOA, GOF, & @VCDL_ORG's VA Assault Weapons Ban case has been unjustly stayed & our Friday hearing canceled. This is a disappointing action by the court & we are exploring avenues to continue to protect gun owners from this law's implementation in just a few weeks.
