🚨 New study shows black women living in England are more likely to be diagnosed with late stage cancer 🚨
The later a cancer is diagnosed, the more difficult it is to receive successful treatment.
This reinforces why our mission is so important.

Last year, Government declared a war on cancer & promised a #10YearCancerPlan that would lead the world in cancer. Then this Jan they announced a shorter-term
Major Conditions Strategy - not the ambitious world leading cancer plan we had hoped for.

This is fantastic work!
The pilot project is underway across four intensive care units to improve hair and skin care for patients from diverse backgrounds. We are incredibly excited to watch them progress.

🚨Figures released today show the number of cancers diagnosed at stages 1 and 2 in the most deprived areas (47%) of England is much lower than those caught early in the least deprived areas (53%).
We are working to try and reduce this fatal difference.

We are disappointed there is still no update regarding the 10-year cancer plan while BAME people continue to suffer from later cancer diagnoses and worse survival rates.
