Today’s session was 🔥! Dr. Christie is so fun 😃. ..We had a chance to share practical examples of making learning engaging for ALL students. We had a packed house @AVID4College National Conference in Dallas, TX🤠. My 1️⃣st time presenting at a National Conference 🙌😊

Our PBIS Team turned our gym into a Winter Wonderland ❄️! Students that demonstrated positive growth 📈on Winter MAP were celebrated @ our Growth party. We had life size Jinga, Connect 4️⃣, 🏀⛹️‍♂️⛹🏽‍♀️, indoor ⚽️, 🎶🪩, and more! Celebrate student achievement 😃. I 💙🧡@DeKalbSchools

Great to meet Martin Luther King III and wife Mrs. Arndrea Waters King. It was such a special moment as we celebrated my niece’s 1️⃣st birthday 🎂. She is named for my mom @swhwalker who transitioned a little over a year ago. @TheKingCenter

True collaboration at Chamblee Middle 🏫. Our instructional team joined their team for planning to observe REAP- Review, Examine, Analyze & Explain. We looked deeply at standards in all 4️⃣ content areas and made suggestions on supporting Ss w/ next steps. 💙🧡@DeKalbSchools

Our shout outs have tripled 😀. Staff complete an anonymous Google sheet & our Parent Liaison & Registrar turn weekly notes into cards. One staff member gave me 💐🌸 for helping to brighten her day with the shout outs. I’m thankful for @Carolina_Girl96 for sharing this tip!!

🏫were recognized for growth in the percentage of Ss scoring at the Proficient level or ➕ in math. The criteria for the 2023-2024 Math Leader Awards recognize the crucial importance of numeracy skills in 5️⃣th and 8️⃣th grades. TMS is one of 3 middle in @DeKalbSchools . 🧡💙😀
