I'm super excited the capabilities this will enable. Embedding AEAs into edge devices to publish data into IOTA Streams channels has limitless applications for secure, P2P, decentralized data sharing and application development. The future is shaping up brighter every day.

The fundamental question around something like TikTok is the question of trust. What are they doing with the data? And can they prove it? That's why open state & open execution is what comes after open source. Perhaps only protocols scale internationally. x.com/balajis/status/1123092…

Open state databases are the next step after open source software. They are databases anyone can read from (for free) or write to (for a price), with incentives and algorithms set up to prevent corruption. You might also call them distributed ledgers :) x.com/balajis/status/1065462…

This is a powerful statement of intent by the president of the @EU_Commission. It's a hugely exciting time to be working in #AI.
To boost 🇪🇺 AI, we want to attract more than €20bn/year during the next 10 years. AI is all about data. To use it at large scale, we need to pool it. We’ll create a single market for data in the🇪🇺 & want to trigger investments of €4-6bn in EU data spaces & cloud infrastructures

1) Ok so dramatic new revelations (not) — After OpenAI became ClosedAI, and sold out to Big Tech, it stopped being so open after all … egads, my faith in the benevolence and transparency of Silicon Valley elites is shattered ;p technologyreview.com/s/61518… @_KarenHao

Twitter is funding a small independent team of up to five open source architects, engineers, and designers to develop an open and decentralized standard for social media. The goal is for Twitter to ultimately be a client of this standard. 🧵

Ethereum Classic said that the attacks against their chain were most likely Selfish Mining attacks. Indeed, selfish mining can be used to reduce the cost of a double-spend attack. The trade-off is that the attacker needs less hashpower, but sacrifices some success probability.
