The fundamental question around something like TikTok is the question of trust. What are they doing with the data? And can they prove it?

Ethereum Classic said that the attacks against their chain were most likely Selfish Mining attacks.
Indeed, selfish mining can be used to reduce the cost of a double-spend attack. The trade-off is that the attacker needs less hashpower, but sacrifices some success probability.
