Fantastic to see this important topic highlighted in a plenary session by Prof. Ricardo Nitrini @alzassociation #AAIC21. ‘Traditional’ dementia assessment tools are biased towards Western, educated individuals. One size does not fit all.

The main findings indicate that individuals who are illiterate are at a significant disadvantage when assessed using traditional dementia screening methods. The findings emphasise the need for the development of tools that are suitable for individuals of all abilities
Such an energising talk from @DrRussHarris this morning at #DCPConf2021, great way to start day 2 of the conference! @UKDCP

This is so important. Science is a life saver and a crucial investment by governments.
Virtually every aspect of the COVID vaccine, from the lipid nanoparticles to the mRNA technology, was developed in academic labs using public funds. But in the public's mind the credit goes to companies like Moderna/Pfizer. This is a missed opportunity to celebrate basic research

Fantastic piece of work by my fellow (third year!) trainee, well done for prioritising this at such a busy time, Lili
1/ It's late, but here's the now annual 🧵 summarising some of the results from the 2020 round of #DClinPsych application reviews for marginalised applicants. I 'publicised' essentially only on Twitter this year & reviewed 22 applications. #ClinicalPsychology
