"Mary kept all these things, pondering them in her heart" (Luke 2:19). Through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, may we draw closer to her Son, with hearts open, humble, and full of love.

Cardinal Hayes High School thanks Jimmy Hayes and the entire New York City District Council of Carpenters Training Center team for the opportunity to sing the National Anthem at their apprentice graduation ceremony. We look forward to continuing to collaborate with New York City District Council of Carpenters and all trades in New York as we offer the young men of Hayes another pathway to success. Fifty years of dust, high school memories, and faded Sharpie ink. It’s funny how a simple piece of canvas can carry the weight of an entire era. Staring at that Hayes senior bucket hat, it’s impossible not to hear the faint echo of Fleetwood Mac or Wings playing from a car radio, or feel the warm memories of a June afternoon in 1976.

Today we celebrate the feast of St. Norbert of Xanten, a German Catholic bishop, Archbishop of Magdeburg, and founder of the Premonstratensian Order. Born into nobility, he abandoned his lavish life for poverty and preaching, and is remembered for his defense of the Eucharist.

Last night, our students had the incredible opportunity to watch North Star, a powerful performance produced by the Irish Arts Center and Solab. The play is beautifully inspired by the speeches of Frederick Douglass during his historic trip to Belfast in 1845. We want to extend a massive, heartfelt thank you to Mr. John Duffy for his immense generosity. Because of him, our students and staff were able to experience this profound piece of theater. Up Hayes And All Its Loyal Men! #UpHayes #bronx #theater

Earlier today, a select group of exceptional students were interviewed for a spot in the prestigious Cardinal Hayes President’s Men Corps. The candidates sat down with Principal Iuso and several past members of this special group to discuss leadership, service, and what it truly means to represent the Cardinal and Gold. To say we were impressed would be an understatement. Our future is in incredibly good hands with these fine young men of Hayes! Up Hayes And All Its Loyal Men!

Today, we honor St Justin, Martyr, a 2nd-century philosopher who embraced Christianity and became one of the Church's earliest defenders. Living during the Roman Empire, he explained Christian beliefs to civic leaders and documented some of the earliest descriptions of the Mass.

Today we celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity the mystery of one God in three Divine Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Before ascending to heaven, Jesus gave His disciples a mission that remains ours today: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations..."

Before the morning bells rang, the grand halls of our beloved school were filled with powerful energy and purpose. Our students gathered to listen to the truly motivational words of Brother Sherlog, setting the perfect tone for the day ahead. There is nothing quite like the brotherhood and spirit that fills these halls when we come together to elevate our minds and hearts. Let’s take those words, stay focused, and make it a great day! Up Hayes And All Its Loyal Men! #bronx #UpHayes #Catholic

Today marked the official last day of classes for our incredible Class of 2026! We sent them off in style with our traditional Senior BBQ—filled with good food, great laughs, and plenty of memories. A massive THANK YOU to our amazing Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) for organizing and hosting such a wonderful event. We couldn't have pulled this off without your endless support and dedication to making today so special for our seniors. #UpHayes
