Q: Do you think Trump is a fascist? Trump’s Chief of Staff John Kelly: Well, I'm looking at the definition of fascism. It’s a far-right movement with a dictatorial leader and forcible suppression of opposition… So certainly in my experience, he falls into the definition of a fascist

John Kelly said Trump used to speak admiringly of Adolf Hitler and would seek to govern as a dictator. “It’s a far-right authoritarian, ultranationalist political ideology and movement characterised by a dictatorial leader, centralised autocracy, militarism".

“[the BoE] is now paying 5% interest on £700bn of bank reserves at cost to the exchequer of £35bn a year … [but not paying] one-third of the reserves … would save [the chancellor] just over £22bn a year … without the need for spending cuts or tax rises” theguardian.com/business/art…

"the basic fault-line is between the kind of nativist-populist right and social democracy". half right. it's no longer centre right in uk posing a threat. to stem it, we need economic populism & redistribution. social democracy is historically lily-livered theguardian.com/inequality/a…
