Polkadot’s architecture theoretically has a capacity of 600,000 TPS, but it only uses a fraction of that capacity. According to Blockchain Magazine, this positions Polkadot as a serious competitor to Ethereum’s Web3 dominance, with 1.4 million users currently participating in their DAO. The Polkadot ecosystem is growing rapidly, and there are currently 1.4 million people in DAOs built on Polkadot. In the long run, it’s not a matter of one beating the other, but rather of different blockchain architectures being best suited for different types of Web3 activities.
