One of my favorite animated movie voices from growing up, Orson Bean played Bilbo Baggins in the animated The Hobbit movie. For me, he was the definitive Bilbo Baggins voice. Such sad news. RIP Orson Bean. google.com/amp/s/ktla.com/20…

Tom: Worst toon today goes to The Karate Kid. Boy did I love that Cobra Kai show—! So much so that I thought it would be fun to watch the cartoon... but senior citizens and hot dog stands converted into hot air balloons isn’t quite as exciting as a crane kick to the face.

Tom: #CartoonOfTheDay goes to Transformers. The scifi channel re-aired the g1 series w/ the “cybernet space cube” back in the early 90’s. I remember I used to set my VCR to record it and Ryan & I would watch them after school. Old school CC! I recall this ep had us cracking up.

Ryan: Worst toon of the day has to go to Karate Kid! Ambitious plot but lots of ridiculousness. I didn't quite have the "wow senior citizens can be cool!" moment the writers were going for. Rock-climbing super grannies were definitely played out in the 80's.

Tom: I love me some Transformers g1. Great writing and nice animation in this one. Cool seeing the spotlight on the Dinobots and the creation of Snarl & Swoop. Love the dialogue exchanges between Megatron & Starscream— and Optimus getting his ass handed to him by the dinobots.

Ryan: Gotta love the Dinobots! Though the me, Slag, you, Grimlock, dialog can be a bit tiring. Fun seeing Megatron be the trickster/manipulator turning the Dinobots against the Autobots. Fun ep!
