Now, imagine you've spent years—decades, even—investing in your education, building skills, and contributing to a country. But instead of being rewarded for your hard work, you’re forced to watch others, with less skill, less experience, or less education, get ahead of you. All because of their country of birth. This is the reality faced by thousands of high-skilled immigrants in America. It is about time we build a system that values contributions over birthplace.
