Hello MS community. Has anybody sequence some of the chromoteck nanobody (e.g. V5) tryptic peptide sequences? We like to add it to our list of contaminant and potentially use it to make sure same amount of beads was used for each coIP

Even 10 years after been first published this still remains very relevant - great read despite being a heavy topic on the likely mankind’s main legacy

We had a great time on Anvil Island (last week) for our lab retreat, with discussions on what it means to pursue a PhD, a review of one of our recent grants, and setting out our vision for the future, along fun team-building activities and games.

😮We knew it was coming but I was hoping we had more time Check these AI-augmented figures. Can you spot the fake data? For instance the last lane in the Western. We will have to rethink how we generate data and publish them
No lab required - think of all the money we'll save! 😼

That is a fun one - Ubiquitin is starting to be an old millesime but I am amazed how the field keeps producing so many great stories. Congrats on the paper did EMBO agreed to it because the 1991 Varshavsky’s paper was published in … EMBO 😉
Thank you @embojournal for highlighting our work characterizing pathogenic #UBA1 mutations on the cover of the latest issue! Great collaboration with David Beck @NYU, @kyliejwalters and @NadineSamaraLab #ubiquitin #VEXAS #SMA #LCINS

Cooking an egg without any heat - that was our pitch for 2024 Science Rendezvous to demonstrate how proteins aggregate and teach how to pipette to so many kids... thx to the BMB EDI committee for organizing and members of our lab for patiently demonstrating protein precipitation

This is a super interesting paper looking at the relation between transcriptome and proteome for 1000 yeast strains. For about 50% of the genes there is a correlation between the levels of mRNA vs protein across the 1000 strains while this was not the case for the other 1/2
Population-wide transcriptomes and proteomes reveal distinct genetic control of gene expression. Great work by Elie Teyssonniere and collaboration with @RalserLab, @JuliaMuenzner, @ptrebulle. And much more to come on both levels of expression very soon… pnas.org/doi/10.1073/pnas.23…
