ALT This studio, part of the Masters in Architectural History (MAHR 2023-2025) program at CEPT University, explored the layered history of Jaigarh Fort and its pivotal role in shaping Jaipur’s landscape. The exhibition offered insights into the fort’s strategic significance, architectural ingenuity, and socio-political connections through eight distinct themes.

ALT The exhibition was held on 28 and 29 December 2024 at Jaigarh Fort as part of the Jaigarh Heritage Festival. Our team had the opportunity to interact with HH Sawai Padmanabh Singh during the event. Students from History backgrounds, tourists, and heritage enthusiasts, along with many others, deeply engaged with the work showcased.

ALT @worldmonumentsfund 's nomination-based program spotlights 25 sites of extraordinary cultural significance and calls for greater protection of #heritage places around the globe. This year’s Watch includes various cultural heritage sites whose preservation is urgent and vital to the communities surrounding them. The 25 sites represent 29 countries across five continents and the Moon.

ALT The 2025 open call resulted in over 200 nominations that underwent extensive internal and external review before final selection by an independent panel of international heritage experts. CHC has collaborated with Bhuj-based ‘Homes in the City’ (HIC) programme for this nomination and has developed it in consultation with local stakeholders. HIC is a collective initiative of six civil society organizations in Bhuj. The Historic Water System of Bhuj consists of a network of lakes, tanks, stepwells, wells, a qanat system, canals and water channels directing water from nearby watersheds to Hamirsar Lake, designed to sustain the city of Bhuj. Inclusion on the 2025 World Monuments Watch calls for greater awareness of these water systems and seeks to support efforts to revitalise them for the city’s long-term water security.
