“Nuclear energy is increasingly recognised as part of the clean energy transition and that creates new opportunities. What Africa cannot afford is fragmentation. If countries work in isolation, progress will be slow and far more costly. Cooperation on regulation, financing, and regional power integration is essential. This is precisely why NEISA matters. We are moving the conversation beyond ambition to practical coordination, and financing mechanisms that can sustain deployment at scale. Rwanda will continue supporting these efforts, because this is larger than any one country.” President Kagame | Nuclear Energy Innovation Summit for Africa (NEISA) 2026 - Opening Ceremony

It is unfortunate for a Human Right Commissioner to miss the basic principals of  making an assessment taking into account all sides & lack the obligation of upholding  Human integrity. Matters related to DRC should remain the responsibility and accountability of DRC leadership.
German govt's human rights commissioner went to Kinshasa & Beni in #DRC and says ending the war is a matter for #Rwanda only. No mention of ongoing peace processes, or that DRC govt is not honouring its own engagements, or even the disastrous human rights situation in DRC.

Thank you to my sister President @SuluhuSamia for the warm welcome to Tanzania and for the productive discussions. Rwanda and Tanzania are not only neighbors but brotherly countries bound by history and a shared goal of prosperity for our people. Rwanda remains committed to building on this strong foundation by deepening our bilateral cooperation across trade, investment, infrastructure, logistics, energy, and regional integration. I look forward to continuing our collaboration to achieve tangible results for our citizens and advance the East African Community.

As Rwanda remembers the more than a million victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi, we sincerely appreciate the messages of solidarity received from governments, partners and friends across the world. International solidarity, with the clarity expressed today, together with a genuine resolve to action, remain the bedrock of “Never Again”. #Kwibuka32

➡️Rwanda's economy grew by 9.4% in 2025, outperforming projections and confirming the strength of our macroeconomic fundamentals. The performance reflects consistent policy execution, prudent macroeconomic management, and sustained investment across productive sectors of the economy. For businesses and investors, the signal is clear: we continue to provide a stable, predictable, and pro-business environment, anchored in strong institutions, ongoing reforms, and a clear long-term development vision.

I wish to remind the @Europarl_EN that it may have jurisdiction over Greenland, Aruba or New Caledonia but it has NO (and will NEVER have) jurisdiction over the Republic of Rwanda, which is a country that recovered its independence from European colonisation more than sixty years ago. Rwanda will never accept this continued arrogance and interference by European MPs, who think that they are endowed with higher moral values, to the extent that they can even disrespect the Judiciary of an African country.
📢Yesterday, and five months after the EP urgency resolution on #VictoireIngabire @VictoireUmuhoza, the @EP_HumanRights subcommittee discussed the #humanrights situation in #Rwanda. Her son, Rémy Amahirwa, was present and shares his testimony👇 #parliamentarydiplomacy

We thank Chairman Smith and the Committee for their attention to this important matter. Rwanda’s position is simple: our national security is non-negotiable. After decades of cross-border genocidal threats from FDLR and allied militias, defensive measures are about protecting lives not politics. Peace must be built on real security. This is pure #Rwanda pre-94 genocide anti-Tutsi hate speech - coming from the #DRC army spox. Ending military collaboration with FDLR isn't enough. It's a genocidal mindset which needs to go for the region to find peace.
