Announced today by the BBC, Doctor Who is now on hiatus with showrunner Russell T Davies leaving. The long running show is now on ‘competitive tender’, where other companies could make a pitch for the show to the BBC on a ‘work for hire basis’. Is this a needed break for the series, and how soon until it returns?
