I'm trying to find the exact moment the Liberals discovered they could just announce things, do literally nothing to fulfill the thing, and nobody would care.

The testimony by Travis Dhanraj regarding the inner workings of CBC is shocking. It should launch investigations. Sadly, despite you can hear below, I believe the Liberals will protect CBC. The Liberals on the committee weren't interested in Dhanraj's testimony.

‼️ BREAKING: Another ex-CBC employee comes forward and alleges toxic workplace. They’re biased. Viewership is dying. Their workplace is toxic. They lose over a billion a year. No wonder Carney agreed with Poilievre & started to defund them.

Canadians expect fairness from their public broadcaster. The CBC receives $1.5 billion in taxpayer funding, yet there are growing concerns that some Conservative voices are being excluded from its programming. A publicly funded broadcaster should reflect a diversity of perspectives and ensure Canadians hear a full range of viewpoints.
Travis Dhanraj, former host of Canada Tonight, faced roadblocks from CBC management, including restrictions on inviting conservatives. He raised concerns about balance and the Broadcasting Act, but his efforts to address the issue were ignored.

It’s absolutely unfathomable how little scrutiny Canada’s national media is giving the Carney Liberal government, while offering megaphones to partisan Liberal insiders to declare their feelings about their literal political opponent. Where are the blaring headlines about Canada’s record debt, self-inflicted housing and food crises, increasing serious crime rate, and broken immigration system? If we’re going to talk about political machinations, where are the dogged reporters asking MPs who have joined the Liberals about the conversations they’ve had, and with whom, in advance of crossing? Who’s asking the newest Liberal MP why he took the last three months off?! Or if he actually lives in BC or Alberta? These are all important and fair questions that are in the public interest and are, quite simply, not being pursued by almost anyone in the mainstream media. Relentlessly asking Liberals what they think of Conservatives is not the journalism Canada needs at this crucial moment in time.

I'll be blunt; I often feel overwhelmed by the amount of evil entrenched in Canada. That's why so many are in denial. The alternative is admitting that your homeland euthanizes undesirables, or extends more mercy to murderers and rapists than their victims.

I used to say the most corrupt era in Canadian politics was the 1880s. I'm increasingly confident it's now. The cronyism, the self-interest, the mismanagement, the lies, the partisan control of ostensibly nonpolitical institutions; it's unlike anything we've ever seen.

The most powerful job in Canada’s political system is the prime minister. We elect a prime minister by electing members of parliament. If voters no longer know who they’re electing as PM because MPs keep switching parties after elections then Canadian democracy is breaking down.

🇨🇦I'm sorry Canada🇨🇦 I owe a huge apology to the Liberals in Canada that I have criticized over the last few days. As an inbred Alberta hick, it has taken time to grasp the sound logic and pure genius of your ways...and that's on me. But I'm starting to get it. I'm beginning to understand that in order to help someone, first you must create the need for help. What's the point of a food line if people aren't hungry? I'm beginning to understand that food lines are a good thing, because that means that there's food. It's literally proof of abundance. I'm beginning to understand that we can't learn to recognize crime if it's not all around us. Education is so important, and I'm learning everyday. I learned just today from an Indian police sergeant that accepting money to shoot up people's homes as part of an extortion racket is highly frowned upon... something that I didn't know yesterday. How would I have known that without the wisdom of ancient cultures that bring these lessons to Canada with them? Would we even realize it’s dangerous to barrel down the highway at 100 km/h while watching Bollywood on an iPad without these valuable cultural imports? I don't think so. How are we supposed to keep an eye on sneaky Chinese influence if we don’t let them right into the system? How do we measure American anger levels if we don’t keep poking the bear nonstop? I’ve learned that one province wanting to exploit its own natural resource wealth is selfish, anti-communist, and frankly un-Canadian. Actual Canadian values are about equality, and specifically, the sacred equality of being equally mediocre. I now realize that wanting Alberta to only welcome compatible cultures is textbook racism. I’ve been schooled by a gentleman who’s been here nine whole months on what it truly means to be Canadian: unconditional acceptance of every culture because “we” are inclusive. I honestly can’t wait for him to explain what it means to be Albertan. My family's 140 year history here likely needs an update to understand who we are, from those who know best. So I apologize from the bottom of my backwards Albertan heart. I finally understand that competence is oppression and mediocrity is love. Thank you for your patience. Once again, I am very sorry, and promise to take all of these valuable lessons into account as we build a new Alberta, where nobody is allowed to be too successful. #AlbertaIndependence

I dunno, it just seems to me that having a national culture were we do nothing but stew in righteous hatred and resentment for the United States probably hasn’t made us terribly well-equipped to deal with a severe threat to the future of our relationship with them.
