Moving between Cardano and fiat is still too complicated, so we shipped an open-source MidnightZK Off-Ramp SDK! This developer toolkit allows Cardano wallets and dApps to convert ADA into fiat via web2 payment rails (Wise / Cash App / Revolut) without anyone taking custody of the user's funds. On the Cardano side, an Aiken Plutus V3 escrow validator holds the user's ADA under an inline EscrowDatum and only releases it on an operator-signed RELEASE redeemer — or refunds it on a sender-signed REFUND after a deadline if the fiat leg never settles. Privacy comes from a Midnight Compact zk-SNARK circuit that proves the payee handle and fiat amount match the on-chain commitments (plus an optional compliance flag) without ever revealing the underlying values on the public ledger. We've exercised the full validator surface on Cardano Preprod — five real transactions across both the Cash App and Wise paths: LOCK #1 (Cash App) → REFUND, and LOCK #2 (Wise), LOCK #3 (Wise) → RELEASE.
