A very very sad and unnecessary death. My thoughts are with family and friends. I, amongst so many, will be waiting to see OFSTEDs response. theguardian.com/education/20…

We had so much fun making this game on health inequalities & health determinants. Today we got to launch it with our learners. @BCUHELS @TNA_BCU @Dezita_ODP

I've just ordered an article titled 'The promotion of mental health in young children'. Published in 1955. Really looking forward to reading it when it arrives.

Seven years, 7,300 testimonies from child sex abuse survivors who suffered mainly in silence for an average of 4yrs. If the Tory party hadn’t trashed our government, maybe we’d be talking about the Jay report. My ⁦@thetimes⁩ column. thetimes.co.uk/article/ccde4…

Thank you @NewlyDawned for allowing me to spend time at your school. It was a privilege to chat with staff & pupils & learn of your approaches to supporting pupil MH & wellbeing. Clearly lots of hard work has gone in to meeting the needs of pupils & wider school. 🙏 for your time

My mum owns a small café in Leicester. Her electricity bill has just jumped from £10k ($12k) a year to £55k ($64k) a year. She is working out her options but more than likely she will be forced to close.

Never underestimate a cycle breaker. Not only did they face years of generational trauma, but they stood in the face of that trauma and said “This ends with me.” This is brave. This is powerful. This comes at a significant cost. Never underestimate a cycle breaker.

Want to cry at the inequality of access to quality and inclusive books Trying to reinvigorate tiny Scottish primary school’s library after moving from an independent school in the south of England. Not a post 2016 book, no dyslexic friendly, no picture books for older & no money.

I can not say this enough to those starting on their PhD journey. Find your people. Support each other. Knowledge sharing. Bouncing ideas off of one another. Emotional support. Your peers will be as important to your PhD success as your supervisors. #phdchat

No it shouldn’t be teachers. We are not qualified, but often have to deal with what is unfolding with a child, without support from those who are better qualified due to funding.

On a recent devising project we made an art installation & audience were constantly told it was a safe space whilst weird, uncanny, controlling things happened. Lots of us came out distressed. Our design insight: being told you’re safe when you don’t feel it is just…gaslighting
