Earlier this week I successfully summitted Long's Peak, my first 14er!
It was a 15-hour adventure, by far the hardest day I've had outside, battling winds gusting 40 mph, snow, rain, and occasional hail, in addition to my own fitness, altitude sickness, and psyche being out there solo.
Unfortunately, there was near-zero visibility at the top, so I didn't get to enjoy any views.
Overall a very (type 2) fun day, a great physical and mental challenge!
