This growth in wind and solar pushed down fossil generation in the first half of 2024 - a drop made even larger by favourable weather. Mild winter temperatures limited demand, while higher wind speeds and rainfall boosted wind and hydro power. 4/9

CATL and bus maker Yutong have teamed up to launch an LFP battery with an impressive lifespan of up to 15 years. What's really exciting is that this battery shows zero degradation for the first 1000 cycles. Remember how I mentioned a few weeks ago about the use of LFP pre-lithiation agents? Well, it looks like industry leaders are indeed adopting them. If you take a look at the cycle life plot in the first comment, you'll see there's no degradation for those crucial first 1000 cycles.
