As usual, my next video is up early for paid supporters on Patreon and X. 🤠 'The Fully Dry 4680 // Too little too late?' In the face of solid state and sodium ion batteries that offer higher energy densities and lower costs, people are wondering if the fully dry 4680 is still relevant. In short, it is, because it's meeting Tesla's original goals for the 4680 project. Not all the goals have been met yet, but they're working through them in order of importance: ✅Strategic Risks Addressed 🟨Cost Cutting is Going Well 🟥Performance is Moderate But, more importantly, sodium ion batteries and solid state batteries are chemistries, not manufacturing innovations, which is what the 4680 is at its core. Ultimately, the fully dry process will benefit those chemistries as well, because it's fundamentally a better way to manufacture a battery cell. *Timestamps* 00:00 Introduction 01:00 Tesla’s Goals for the 4680 Project 03:31 ‘Obsolete’ Argument #1 - Performance 05:57 ‘Obsolete’ Argument #2 - Cost 10:14 The Fully Dry 4680 is NOT a Chemistry 11:40 Summary

Watch frame by frame. FSD responds instantly, even before the vehicle ahead.
FSD might have just saved me from a head on collision. My Tesla was taking evasive action before I even saw the danger.

Lemonade is not materially affected by any Anthropic/Fable ban. Most of LMND’s core advantage isn’t just “using Claude.” It’s years of good old software engineering proprietary ML models ML infrastructure built specifically for insurance. $LMND

🌩 An incredible sunset over Nebraska is going viral online The footage was captured today in Sidney, Nebraska, during a powerful storm. The photographer managed to capture a massive supercell — one of the rarest and most spectacular types of storm clouds. These systems are often responsible for the strongest tornadoes, giant hail, and extreme rainfall. Looks more like a scene from a disaster movie than real life.

NEW: Inside the 24-hrs before WH slapped export controls on Anthropic - Last Thursday, Amazon CEO Andy Jassy raised concerns about Fable jailbreak to Trump admin - Friday AM, Sean Cairncross, Bessent, Susie etc. held WH call to discuss - Then White House started reaching out to Anthropic to speak with Dario Amodei, who was at a wellness retreat. - When Amodei was finally available past 1pm, he had three tense phone calls with a combo of ppl including Cairncross, Bessent, Lutnick, Kessler, Will Scharf, Richard Walters, and Walker Barrett. -Amodei tried to clear up what he assumed was a misunderstanding. He defended the guardrails and distinguished between universal and non-universal jailbreak - Cairncross and Bessent were unmoved and asked Amodei to take down Fable and work with the admin to fix the vulnerabilities. (A WH official said Amazon’s findings were run past the NSA and they felt they had “proof.”) - Amodei asked for more time and info, but he made no commitments to pull the model - Bessent told Amodei directly at one point that he was making a “bad decision” - By Friday evening, the Trump admin imposed its export controls. - “Export controls were a last resort after begging them for hours to work with us,” senior WH official said. SpaceX President Gwynne Shotwell on CNBC yesterday on Elon Musk: "I think he is very misunderstood across the board. I want people to know him. In fact, he participated in some of the discussions that we’ve had over the last couple of weeks with investors. The investors left saying: ‘I had no idea that is the man.’ I said: That’s the man I’ve worked for 24 years. I love him." Gwynne joined SpaceX in 2002 as the company’s 11th employee. She’s awesome. What a journey.

Anthropic is schizophrenic
I’ve had a number of conversations with folks inside and outside government about the current situation with Anthropic, and here is what I believe to be true: — As we know, Anthropic publicly released its Mythos class models earlier this week under the commercial name Fable. — Fable is Mythos with guardrails. But if those guardrails fail, then you’ve exposed Mythos and its advanced cyber capabilities to people who shouldn’t have them. (Keep in mind that Anthropic itself widely promoted the idea that Mythos was a cyberweapon and needed to be regulated as such. They asked for government regulation of Mythos and championed the guardrails on Fable. If there is a vulnerability — big or small — it is Anthropic’s responsibility to patch.) — A highly credible trusted partner of both Anthropic and the USG who was testing Fable came forward with a jailbreak of those guardrails. The Admin asked Dario to fix the jailbreak or de-deploy the model. Dario refused. — In their blog post, Anthropic defended its decision by saying the jailbreak isn’t serious. That is not what the trusted partner and the USG believe; nor is that kind of minimizing language consistent with Anthropic’s brand as the AI safety company. It’s difficult to fathom how they could claim a jailbreak allowing operability of a cyber weapon could be defined as not “serious.” — In the past, Anthropic has always said that safety must be top priority and taken super seriously. In this case, Anthropic prioritized the continued offering of the consumer model over safety. — In reaction, the Admin issued the export control. The Admin did this reluctantly. It’s been very surprised that Anthropic hasn’t wanted to cooperate with a reasonable safety request (ie fixing the jailbreak issue). Anthropic’s reaction is very much at odds with their branding and ethos as a safe AI research community. — The Admin’s hope now is that Anthropic remediates the safety issue, the export control is lifted, and Fable goes back into general release. The Admin wants all of this to happen as soon as possible. It is frankly bewildered that Anthropic hasn’t wanted to comply with safety requests that it previously said were its highest priority. — Those trying to misdirect and tie this action to the prior DoW/Anthropic issues are wrong. The Admin values Anthropic’s technical capabilities and feels that this issue, while serious, should be easily resolved. The ball is in Anthropic’s court.

Muslims went crazy after Secretary of State Marco Rubio said this: "Radical Islam doesn’t want just a small caliphate in Iraq or Syria. They see the United States as the greatest evil on Earth and seek to dominate the entire West. Radical Islam is revolutionary, it wants endless expansion, terrorism, assassinations, and total control. They hate America, Europe, Israel, and every Muslim nation that partners with us. Orlando, Pensacola, and domestic attacks prove it. Radical Islam is a clear and imminent threat to the world." I agree with every single word he said.

Korea’s export data for the first 10 days of the month was absolutely absurd, trending close to 90% YoY. On historical correlations, that would imply a fair value for the semiconductor index that is potentially 50 to 60% higher than current levels. Yes, I said that.

When investors rotate out of hyperscalers, hardware, neoclouds, and the hottest new IPO, a logical place to park their capital may be a 4B insurance company that is: ✅ Directly in the token path ✅ Insuring autonomous vehicles ✅ Growing topline in the mid-30s (accelerating IFP growth for 10 quarters) ✅ Profitability inflection point ✅ Global expansion ✅ Leaders in creating the first ‘autonomous organization’ ✅ Top-tier AI-first management team (2015 slide deck lead with “Artificial Intelligence not Artificial Delays” ✅ Disrupting the largest TAM in the world through classic low-end disruption (think Innovators Dilemma) ✅ Better risk pricing and cost advantage ✅ AI tailwinds for underwriting and algo trading of CAC spend: Underwriting an ethereal, frictionless, statistical risk-based product (a.k.a. the best AI implementation use case possible) ✅ AI tailwinds for operating expense efficiency, low head count, and new product launches
