I think Politics are about compromise- succesful negotiations means neither party will be totally happy. As I see the Republicans likely to lose legislative majority, I am concerned that the Democrats will take hardline stances on the same things previously. I think most of the major issues to Republicans deserve to be addressed in a middle-road type of way
Immigration- violent criminals, need to be prosecuted and deported with haste. I dont know a single person that wants violent illegal aliens to remain in the USA. Stricter control at the border is neccesary to prevent re-admittance of criminals. This is not all or nothing. A limited number of visas should be available for low/unskilled laborers, at a cost, with strict regulations on crime rescinding that visa. We cannot afford to take in all the worlds refugees, an affirmation to integrate culturally should be a requirement to admittance, religious or political extremist views should be grounds for a VISA denial. if you come to the USA, you should want to be an American
LGBTQ Ideology- I affirm that the amount of trans people in sports is statistically low and almost irrelevant, however it is common sense to ban transgender athletes from competing in single gender categories. LGBTQ Ideology has no place in Elementary Schools, or Middle schools. In lived experience of a friend, there shouldnt be more Gay Pride flags in a Kindergarten classroom, than there are American flags. Trans people deserve rights, they deserve to live free of fear from persecution or violence. Provide funding for gender-neutral bathrooms in all schools and public buildings. Literally, bathrooms with closed stalls that anyone can use shouldn't be an extremist view
Economic Policy- we cannot continue sending foreign aid to countries, when we ourselves are in Immense debt. Thats like lending money on credit card to someone else, when you yourself are broke. Additionally, the USA doesnt have a revenue problem it has a spending problem. Increase penalties, and funding for probes into Fraud Waste and Abuse. Except this time dont just attack anything that looks DEI. Look for programs that have outrageous spending with little to no result or impact. Free Trade was first proposed by Republican President Ronald Reagan, and it should come back.
The wealthy need to be taxed more on the upper limit of gains, at what % I dont know. However we cannot deny the long term, documented transfer of wealth happening from the lower and middle class, to the top 5% of Americans. Corporate greed is extracting every last dollar for shareholders and it is ruining America
