That’s been an issue for thousands of years. The answer isn’t more government it’s religion and allowing the community to do what it does best to help people with those “profits”. The government is not capable of doing so. In actuality, the government is the worst offender when it comes to greed, corruption, and abandonment of basic duties.
.@ChrisMurphyCT has a new book out called "Crisis of the Common Good." He argues our society is too focused on profits for an individual and not enough about lifting up the broader community. We spoke recently at "Writers Bloc" in Santa Monica.

But it’s not mandatory. Just don’t tip.
The mandatory 20% tipping culture in America has gotten completely out of hand and needs to stop. Why am I being asked to tip 25% at a self-service kiosk when I picked up my own food? You flipped the screen around to show me a question, you didn't cook or serve the meal. Employers need to pay their staff a living wage instead of guilting customers into paying it for them. I am officially done tipping for things where I am standing up to order.

Judge declines to block President Trump's order on mail-in voting. If you are wondering about this, heads are exploding at the ACLU. Trump's order directs federal agencies to Compile state-by-state lists of U.S. citizens eligible to vote, using federal databases; Instruct the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) to create rules for handling mail-in and absentee ballots, including potentially delivering ballots only to those on approved lists and establishing uniform standards.
🚨BREAKING: Just as we said months ago - help is on the way! This Executive Order is properly placed Presidential authority over the United States Postal Sevice. Mail fraud or mishaps is done!

For beets, start in cold water, then simmer low and slow until fork tender. Remove the beets and cool. Then I add balsamic vinegar and honey to the beet water, reduce it into a syrup. Slice the beets, toss w toasted almonds, goat cheese, arugula and drizzle with the syrup. Antioxidant overload.

@ChefGruel I found this recipe from my Uncle. His father was a medical doctor who immigrated to the USA IN 1899. An olde mint sauce for lamb. It’s very tasty. Great for Spring lamb.

Been a while since I’ve provided a milk candy update. These are the best milk candies you can easily find at Asian groceries all over US. All three are great but salt one is the best. Just a hint of salt like in a fleur de sel caramel.

The @LATimes headline says voter fraud claims are “unfounded” — then their own reporting confirms it. Their article documents homeless individuals being paid cash to register to vote. That’s a federal crime under 52 U.S.C. § 10307(c). “Three people told The Times they accepted a couple dollars to sign, with one saying he signed multiple signatures using various names and received $10." That’s not unfounded. That’s voter fraud and it’s exactly why there must be investigations. latimes.com/california/story…

Remember when we were told nobody was coming for your gas appliances? The Biden Administration spent years defending regulations that would have effectively pushed many gas furnaces and water heaters out of the marketplace. It survived in lower court until the Supreme Court vacated the ruling
