These ‘hydration breaks’ are fundamentally warping the World Cup. Curacao had just enjoyed perhaps the highlight so far with that equaliser against Germany and were on the attack again. Then three minutes to promote a laptop brand, and momentum is handed straight back. Wretched.

APPLEBAUM: Putin has grip on power unlike almost any other leader in the world. He controls enormous economic, political, social, propaganda levers. At the same time, it's important to remember that there's nothing more fragile than system in which there is no obvious successor. The funny thing about Putin is that not only do we not know who would replace him, we don't know how that person would be chosen. There's no Politburo, there's no Soviet Communist Party, there's no internal group that would choose the next leader. So, you have this weird, precarious situation where you have this strong system that, without him, would suddenly become very chaotic.

Toxic rain falls on Russia. 🇷🇺 Ukrainians 🇺🇦 ask: Should we pause the fight? The answer is written in fire. 270 drones just reminded Putin that war doesn’t take holidays. The sky burns, the message is clear: Surrender or ashes. #NoDayOff ⬇️⬇️⬇️

I thank all friends of Ukraine and everyone who helps us obtain important information and supports Ukrainian intelligence operations. Our intelligence agencies reported on the results of their work to assess the internal situation in Russia and obtain documents that end up on the Russian leader’s desk. We understand that Putin rarely receives information that is entirely truthful and unvarnished. But even what he sees in the documents that reach him still allows conclusions to be drawn. In particular, the so-called “projected indicators” of Russians’ dissatisfaction with Putin will continue to rise steadily, and he is already being conditioned to accept the idea that this growing dissatisfaction cannot be stopped and that this indicator “will not plateau” by September, when parliamentary elections are scheduled in Russia. As for the level of support for Russia’s ruling party, a steady downward trend is being recorded, which means significantly greater electoral fraud will be needed. They are also reporting a substantial rise in protest sentiment in Russian regions. We believe these reports also do not yet take into account the potential events of June, July, and August, which are bound to further affect the situation in Russia. The entirely justified pressure on Russia over this war will continue and intensify – and it won’t be just our pressure. So by September, Putin will be facing significantly worse indicators. Unfortunately, to all the public and non-public peace proposals we have made, the only response has been words about continuing his war. The internal situation in Russia should convince him of the opposite: that peace is needed. Ukraine is proposing to negotiate a dignified peace. Obviously, the trends will not change, and over time this may mean that an agreement will have to be reached with someone else from Russia – someone who will not shut themselves off from reality. Glory to Ukraine!

“The illusion is over” Russian Duma member Vyacheslav Marhayev (Communist Party) launches a powerful attack on Putin: “The time for illusions is over. The country is on the verge of social collapse. The reason is the power that rules the country.” He demands that Putin immediately present a clear plan to end the war in Ukraine. Otherwise, social unrest and chaos threaten, he warns. At the same time, there are reports of more and more dissenting voices in Russia – and Putin’s trust has fallen below 30%, according to VTsIOM. Things are starting to really crack at the seams. Preferably tomorrow, thank you.

The fuel crisis is spreading across Russia. A resident of Novorossiysk asks for life hacks on how to live without gasoline. "We've learned to live without water, electricity, and the internet. Without everything. But how the hell are we supposed to live without fuel? What app do I need? How do I beat the system?"
The fuel crisis in Russia is expanding - restrictions are now in place in at least 14 regions. After reports of fuel shortages in occupied Crimea, similar problems have started appearing across Russian regions. In the Kursk, Belgorod, and Pskov regions, some gas stations are limiting sales to no more than 20 liters of gasoline per customer. Similar restrictions have also been reported at certain stations in Moscow, the Moscow region, and St. Petersburg. In Krasnoyarsk and the Tomsk region, drivers are being refused fuel sales in jerry cans. In Karelia, authorities blame the restrictions on the holiday season, while residents in the Murmansk region are also reporting difficulties refueling their vehicles. Drivers in the Voronezh region complain about gasoline shortages at some gas stations, while in the Novgorod region there are reports of a 20-liter limit per vehicle.

🇷🇺🇷🇺Putin has reportedly gone into panic mode and urgently summoned everyone to the Kremlin. Chaos is spreading across Russia. According to sources, the dictator is in a state of genuine hysteria. He urgently called together everyone still around him—generals, security officials, and ministers. The meeting was reportedly filled with tense silence, broken only by Putin's occasional outbursts. Ukrainian missiles and drones have carried out large-scale strikes deep inside Russian territory. Explosions were reported far from the front lines. Military facilities near Moscow, logistics hubs and warehouses in central Russia, as well as airfields used for launching attacks against Ukraine, were among the reported targets. Many Russians are said to be shocked by the scale of the attacks. Emergency services struggle to deal with fires in one location before new strikes are reported elsewhere. Cities that only yesterday considered themselves completely safe are now waking up to explosions and air-raid sirens.

Strike after strike by Ukraine's long distance drones on Russia's strategic energy reserves facility in Yaroslavl, with no air defenses of consequence. As all Russian air defenses are now in Moscow or protecting Putin's palaces, Ukraine destroys Russia's entire energy industry.
Among Ukraine's overnight attacks on Russia's military and energy assets was the vast strategic energy storage complex in Rybinsk, in Russia's Yaroslavl Region. Part of Russia's strategic fuel reserve system, Operated by Rosrezerv, the facility stores and redistributes gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel, helping supply military and industrial consumers across western Russia. Located roughly 270 km north of Moscow on key rail and river transport routes, it serves as a major logistics hub. While its exact capacity is classified, its role in storing and moving fuel makes it a significant wartime asset.
