Many years ago, a very young person attended BOTC in Chilliwack. BCoy was the first co-ed platoon at CFOCS. Lessons learned while young, and niave, in life helped me later in my careers, TY BCoy! Maybe some 80-03 BCoy platoon members see this. #OUTSTANDING

Thank you to North Bay OPP and the members and staff who helped make AFD an gr8 success!
Members of the North East Region, North Bay OPP, and the auxiliary unit were proud to attend Armed Forces Day in North Bay, joining community partners in recognizing the dedication and service of the Canadian Armed Forces and the United States Air Force personnel stationed at 22 Wing/CFB North Bay. This important event celebrates more than 70 years of partnership through NORAD and highlights the vital role military members play in protecting North America. Thank you to everyone who joined us at the waterfront for a day of demonstrations, displays, and family-friendly activities in support of our armed forces and emergency service partners. ^kb #OPP #ArmedForcesDay #NorthBay #CommunityPartnerships

On May 30, 1923 OPP Sgt John Urquhart was shot and killed in line of duty in Cobalt, Ontario during a search for a armed & dangerous suspect. John's death started the process for spouses of officers killed in the line of duty to receive a pension. Always remembered #HeroesInLife

RIP Ken!
On May 23, 1995 OPP Provincial Constable Kenneth Roy South Porcupine Detachment died in the line of duty returning from RIDE Program detail in Chapleau. He was travelling on Highway 101 near Foleyet when his police cruiser was invovled in a crash. Always remembered. #HeroesInLife

Every Prime Minister has fed into the decision to roll back The Snowbirds, Liberal AND Conservative. It didn't just happen today. Because it's a lot of money. That pulls our pilots from their routine duties protecting our sovereignty! And, for what? For risky acrobatics that every so often, kill the pilots. With very little return. Because most Canadians don't even know about the Snowbirds, and they don't care to. Rolling back the Snowbirds doesn't mean the RCAF stops doing flybys. Frankly, I find flybys by conventional RCAF aircraft far more interesting to watch than the Snowbirds.

This all part of the Cdn system of fairness. 10 years ago police raised the issue of corruption in the airport security system. Yet, pathetically, the benefit always goes to the applicant not the taxpayers or customers' safety.

Be interesting how other police associations comment.
The Toronto Police Association fundamentally opposes the Solicitor General’s plan for the OPP to take over some policing in Toronto. This includes traffic safety on our major arterial routes and Mounted and Marine functions at Ontario Place and along its waterfront.   We believe this is a gross overreach which will develop a fragmented system, hurting both the city and our members.   Our official position and specific requests are outlined in the attached correspondence.

I'm a 50 year fan of the @DetroitRedWings. Had great years, bad years, and some in between. No secret- you need to score 280 goals and no more than 240 scored on you. Math = 1 40 , 2 30 , 4 20 scorers. 13 other players need to score 100 goals. Good in the net!
Steve Yzerman opens his Red Wings season-ending press conference addressing what this team needs to do to improve. “The most obvious would be need better players. We need to improve in particular areas, goal scoring, particularly five-on-five,” he said. Yzerman said it’s on him and his staff to improve that.
