I've deleted Threads as it was just awful. Trying Bluesky which at the moment is much better and hasn't forced me to constantly see posts about things I'm not interested in.

The 47th Fighter Squadron recently ended operations with the A-10 at Davis Monthan. These shots were taken when they were in Utah on an exercise but based at Barksdale AFB. #lowlevel#a-10 #AFRC#airforcereserve#warthog#lowlevelflying
Two 307 Bomb Wing AFRC B-52Hs arrived at RAF Fairford last week for Cobra Warrior 25-2. This example, 61-0014 coded OT is marked for the 49th Test & Evaluation Squadron flew on Day 2 of the exercise. The other 61-0029, is marked '93 BS'. @AFGlobalStrike#buff
80-1094 is seen here carrying a repurposed pod (port wing). From 2001 to early this decade it was originally used for the Raytheon Remote Airborne Sensor, or RAS-1R, which is a radio freq signals intelligence sensor. It's not known what it now carries. @9thRW#Dragonlady
Some late morning departures last week allowed for some evening return images. I had wanted to get the Pogo guys like this for a long time, with U-2 80-1094 going long to the end of the runway it was possible. @9thRW#Dragonlady
First time up Salisbury Plain Training Area for a couple of years. I couldn't decide where to go ,even when leaving home. So very lucky for me this arrived for 10 minutes and caught some sun down the nose. #CH53#Luftwaffe@Team_Luftwaffe@RAF_Odiham#SPTA
Usually it is the det at Akrotiri being creative. Photographed today at RAF Fairford, Bullet Bill has made an appearance on 80-1096 and artwork taken from the 99 ERS Friday patch on 80-1094.
Today, U-2S 7074 departed back to the States. Despite a bit of exhaust gas blowing over the fuselage it was possible to get the artwork on the port side. @UKdragonChris@9thRW
The crews at Akrotiri did it again! U-2S 80-1074 arrived at RAF Fairford on Wed 13th March and wore these marks on the starboard side. A couple of close-up crops to view the artwork better. @UKdragonChris@9thRW
A day and a half at Pingtung-North produced three Lockheed P-3C Orion with the ROCAF, two in low viz markings (3303 & 3305 ) and one in higher viz (3302).Β Happy with the results as this was one of the main goals for going back to Taiwan.Β @P3OrionResearch#Orion
A long day with a few movements at Pingtung-North but we knew it was about the quality of aircraft there.Β We saw this E-2K depart in the morning so positioned ourselves for its return. A ROCAF Northrop Grumman E-2K 2502 but still has E-2C 151710 under the tail. #Hawkeye#ROCAF
A favourite of mine to photograph in Japan is the T-4, this one from 8 Hikotai flew a late afternoon mission from Tsuiki with a dust collection pod used to detect radioactive particles. You can read more about the pod in the link below, the article is by @TheAviationist
At Hualien we got lucky with two F-16V's carrying the AN/VDS-5 LOROP-EO pod, otherwise known as the Phoenix Eye. Any F-16V can carry them, they are then unofficially known as a RF-16V. Also, two F-16V's returned from a CAP sortie with live AIM-9 and AIM-120s. #ROCAF@F-16.net
Just back from Japan & Taiwan. Main goal for the Taiwan trip was the last remaining RF-5E of the 12th TRS at Hualien under the 5th TFW. Two taxied out with a F-5F but the mission got scrubbed because of the weather. Luckily, they had to taxi underneath us on the way back. #ROCAF
