FIFA World Cup 26™ Ticket Resale: Where Is the Accountability? When purchasing a ticket, payment is taken instantly. When selling a ticket through the official resale platform, sellers are told to wait up to 60 days to receive their money. In my case, those 60 days have already passed, and I still have not received payment. What is even more frustrating is the lack of accessible support. There is no direct phone number to call, no clear escalation path, and no meaningful way to obtain updates on the status of the payment. For an organization operating one of the world’s largest sporting events, this level of customer support and financial transparency is disappointing. Trust is built on accountability. If funds can be collected immediately, payments owed to customers should be processed within the promised timeframe—or, at the very least, clear communication should be provided when delays occur. Customers should not be left chasing answers for money that is rightfully theirs.
