Threads acquired over 10M users in 7hrs & having used it for hours myself (setting up & testing my own & client accounts), Iâve seen nothing but kindness & community & joy & connection. Meanwhile, took less than 1 minute on Twitter to see bigotry being amplified by this platform.
Time will tell whether Threads can thrive on its own, or whether itâll be able to replace many of things Twitter used to be great for.
But, for me, along with LinkedIn & Instagram, Threads will be a priority for me over the toxicity of Twitter.

Katie Rinderle is the first known public school teacher to be fired under Georgiaâs vague trio of classroom censorship laws after her students chose for her to read "My Shadow is Purple".

I grew up in South Carolina & bullied relentlessly for being disabled & queer.
My schools blamed me for âbeing too gay.â Two of my elementary teachers called me a f*g.
My (Republican) Elected state leaders called me a pedophile & said LGBTQ deserve to die of AIDS.

Do you remember when you were growing up, do you remember how simple life was, how easy it felt? It was about faith, family, and country. We can have that again, but to do that, we must vote Joe Biden out. #RTM2023
My high school cancelled an @Indigo_Girls concert, simply because theyâre lesbians.
My high school Diploma was signed by pro-segregationist & avowed racist, Senator Storm Thurmond.
And the list goes on & on⌠but in short:
FUCK NO, @NikkiHaley, we are NOT going back.
Ps⌠When a third of Americans today were alive during racial segregation, harking back to how the past â a past when women, Blacks, LGBTQ , disabled and others ALL had less rights â as being a simpler & better time, speaks volumes of your ignorance and your privilege.
.@TheAmandaGormanâs poem read at @JoeBidenâs inauguration, is part of U.S. historyâ itâs also now BANNED for students at this Florida public school because of laws signed by Ron DeSantis.
Theyâre erasing Black voices. Theyâre erasing LGBTQ voices. Theyâre coming for all of us.
Republicans happily passed a $858 billion defense budget last year stuffed with handouts to price-gouging defense corporations. But now they're threatening to let the US default on its debt if we don't gut programs that help families. It's about inflicting pain, not saving money.
As expected, when the Governor attacks private business and retaliates against free speech â he loses millions for the state and Florida residents.
Way to go, Ron. And all so that he can enact his draconian anti-black, anti-women, anti-immigrant, & anti-LGBTQ political agenda.
Disney has canceled a nearly $1 billion office complex that was scheduled for construction in Orlando that would have brought more than 2,000 jobs to the region, with $120,000 as the average salary.

Hey Apple News users⌠how do you quickly return to the âFor Youâ Home Screen in the News App after reading several articles. Clicking the back arrow numerous times is tedious. What am I missing?
WOW. This is the crowd that welcomed State Rep. Zooey Zephyr home. Republicans tried to silence her. They tried to ban her. But they unleashed something they will regret. This is what democracy looks like & Republicans should be terrified. x.com/paulsgkim/status/16521âŚ
