This letter makes it absolutely crystal clear why nurses should vote YES TO STRIKE ACTION. We need 0.25million RCN members to do so mid June. Please retweet especially if you clapped!
"Every day he's with these incredible people in some broken down hospital in the middle of fucking Burnley or whatever. Fuck off."
"It goes beyond insincere."

Amazing staff make our NHS what it is. Going on strike is the last thing they want to do. But government decisions are failing staff and patients. That's why I signed an open letter in support of NHS staff. Join me here:

I was taken for lunch to a gentleman’s club today, first time in years, and was barred for wearing incorrect footwear (my comfortable mid-top trainers, perfect for being on my feet all day). It was like going back 50 years. I had to borrow the porter’s spare shoes. 2022
UK needs to

4 End deep poverty & hunger
5 Lead in tackling #ClimateCrisis
6 Restore Rule of Law & Human Rights
7 Reverse Brexit
8 Hold Leveson 2
9 Nationalise monopoly utilities
10 Abolish private schools
11 Tax the rich
The utter arrogance in the way this government is speaking about NHS staff is astounding. NHS staff have conducted themselves with incredible integrity and duty for the past 3 years. By contrast, the government has been a mess of terrible leadership and terrible policies.
I’ve thought about this overnight and it’s clear that a lot of people are finding it very difficult to watch Matt Hancock on #ImACeleb
If he really wants to show viewers the human side of politicians, maybe he could leave the show & donate his £400,000 to the NHS.
• NHS Hospital Canteen: ‘Single Tuna sarnie’ costing £3.00 for nurses, paid for out of their own wage
• Houses of Parliament: ‘Rum banana tarte tatin with rum and raisin ice cream’ for the princely sum of £2.37 for MPs, paid for by you the taxpayer
Nurses’ fight is our fight.
It takes an awful lot of guts to tell someone something like this to their face. You can hear the courage in her voice. But well done you, whoever you are, I think you’re brilliant
Some 32 years ago today this fine body of men landed on Rarotonga for the first ever Rugby League Tour of the South Pacific that included the Cook Islands, Samoa and Tonga! What a trip!
Absolute twaddle. #KeirStarmer & I have our political differences. But let’s be v v clear - he’s a former DPP. His background is one of honesty, decency, hard work & competence. Everything #BorisJohnson isn’t. I know which one I want as my PM. And I’m sick of this smear campaign.
I think the problem for Keir is he and his team still don’t get it. It’s not about the technical breach of the law. It’s about the perception of hypocrisy and lack of openness. He can’t get off on a technicality on this.
Keir Starmer kicks off his Queen’s Speech response by congratulating Boris Johnson on another first: “He’s the first resident of Downing Street to be a constituent of a Labour council.”
