No idea if is satire or not but you have to be a moron to believe roblox would make this extremly drastic change because of ruben, schlep, or to protect predators
We would see another lawsuit if it was because of ruben or schelp and roblox is being sued and banned up the ass because of predators so why on earth would they protect them
Nobody knows the real reason but I truly think a factor is from these massive million dollar game studios with the data they collect from hundreds of millions of kids. User data is worth far, far more than gold. Take shady business into account and that is a clusterfuck disaster worth millions currently happening.
There are urban legend horror stories of these studios and roblox may be taking measures to protect themselves from more lawsuits and country bans
Roblox didn’t like Ruben Sim creating a database full of condo players and coomers so they had to remove universal user IDs 💀

#Roblox, why not just continue charging me after the free trial expires like every other service?
Why create a separate subscription and force me to cancel the main one, with the anxiety of losing the Plus features my business relies on, only to have to remember to subscribe again later?
It may seem like a minor issue to outsiders, but Roblox is full of these small frustrations that make using the platform miserable... especially when working on it professionally.
I'm disgusted by the company's low quality standards, and its management should be ashamed.
It feels like whoever is in charge has become detached from reality, chasing some grand visionary future while ignoring the basics, distracted by a flood of AI slop features pushed by teams (probs using agents) optimizing for productivity metrics rather than solving real user problems.

Nobody in the right mind that only care about money would donate millions of dollars that they could of dexed. Like actual millions of real world dollars he could have in his bank account but he donated it in the game
I'm not sure why so many people have commented this "you have no right to talk" crap.
You will find that I in fact DO have the right to criticize anyone and anything I want. No amount of room-temperature IQ fools telling me otherwise will stop me.
Really, all I do is point out the obvious truth in a not-so-sugarcoated way.
Hazem doesn't give a fuck about anything except his money. If he DID care about something else, such as the "community" surrounding Pls Donate that everyone BUT Hazem has told me is so important, he would have said something along the lines of "I'm disappointed in how this will affect the Pls Donate community, I'm sorry you all have to deal with this".
Instead, he says "this platform fucking sucks".
The entitlement and ungratefulness radiates off that statement like a nuclear fucking warhead. No amount of "ERM ackshually you make FAKE LIMITEDS" has or will ever silence me, but I'm glad people still aggresively advertise that for me. Perhaps I should post more of them.
As many people pointed out, nobody ever calls me a liar.

The item remains free, but users must complete Roblox's age verification process to unlock it.

This also isnt just about “hazem is a millionaire who cares” like I been seeing, but its also about everyone on his team who are not rich and are probably going to lose their jobs in the next few months
It’s genuinely sickening seeing some people wish the worst on me and be happy that my game is being killed overnight. Yes, I’m incredibly grateful for the position I’m in, but this was never just about money. It’s about watching a business I’ve built for years be damaged overnight by something completely out of my control. I would never wish this on any other developer, and I truly hope no one else on this platform has to go through the way Roblox has handled this with us.

I feel like a win-win would be if roblox integrated the ESRB rating and used that to filter players instead of all the highly engaged player whatever and payment restrictions.
No face scan/verification = roblox kids only
Rated E opens for all players
Rated M is 18 only (opens door for older audiences that roblox wants like graphic shooter games and swearing)
Rated T is 13 (roblox select) and above
And then just keep the chat and parental control systems
ESRB seems like a significantly easier and better solution. Literally everyone uses and knows it, and its easier than whatever a highly active engaged 16 thing is, and it lets your game be open to everyone instead of 16 users which is like 25% of roblox, and it lets your game be discovered instead of just disappearing to 16 users if it doesnt sustain whatever the player limit is

I think this is a pretty good change, its a nice middle ground between things and a added bonus that you get the robux refunded

Soon, Roblox will no longer require a Plus/Premium subscription to publish new games for all ages.
Instead, once your game has completed the evaluation process, you can pay a one-time fee of 1,000 Robux per game. This fee will be refunded to you after three months unless the game gets moderated or taken down.
If you've had a Plus/Premium subscription for 2 consecutive months, you won't have to pay this fee as a benefit of your subscription. Previously published games will not be affected, and will remain published for free.
This update will be released on May 19 for New Zealand, the Netherlands, Australia, and Indonesia. It will be rolled out globally in June.

Its disheartening that donation games (a core part of roblox culture) are getting nuked.
Not only did this game win a prestigious award that devs dream about, but it was also hand picked by the ceo. Truly one of the greatest accomplishments you could ever receive, just to get your work killed in an instant.
The transfer system is just way too limiting and almost completely useless in its current state.
I get that roblox made up their mind last year when the idea was green lit and implemented, but man knowing that builderman can pick you for one of the best awards and then kill your game a few years later is madness. It makes you distrust them as a platform and wonder whats next. Catalog avatar editor? or something else?

Really dumb move on roblox to maximize profits
Can’t easily donate people tons of robux without doing a hundred steps, if you want robux you buy it directly through them.
Cant transfer your friends anything, 200 robux cant even buy a bag of peanuts, gonna purchase it directly through roblox.
Roblox is removing cross-game gamepass sales and forcing a $5/month requirement just to donate, with a 1,000 Robux monthly limit. This will kill PLS DONATE.
PLS DONATE is built around cross-game gamepass sales, a system that’s free for players and has no limits. Removing it doesn’t just change things, it kills the game completely.
I wasn’t made aware of this change before it was announced. No warning, no chance to give my input or feedback before they announce this change.
I’ve been developing on this platform since I was 12 and have always loved making games on Roblox, so seeing something this impactful happen overnight without real consideration is genuinely upsetting. This means a lot to me and I’m really sad about this.
The solution Roblox gave us is the Transfer API, which really isn’t a solution and still affects us heavily. It’s locked behind a $5/month subscription, capped at 1,000 Robux per month, and under-18 users require parental approval for EVERY SINGLE transaction. That completely changes the experience.
If transferring Robux is going to be paid, gamepasses need to coexist. Removing them ruins everything and doesn’t stop bad actors from just purchasing through the site anyway. It doesn’t make sense.
I really don’t want to build hatred toward this platform. I love Roblox and still believe in it, and if it truly cares about its developers, I’m sure there are better solutions that keep users safe without killing our game.
