It's important to honor just how difficult it can be each time remission ends (or should I say, pauses?). #Crohns will be with me for life. And while I do persevere, I also feel sadness, frustration, and pain - and that's OK. #IBD#chronicillnesschronically-jess.com/single-…

“Our job is to give patients more hope and reduce their fear.”
Thank you for doing that, and so much more, over our many years together. Im so very lucky and I know it. Congratulations on your INCREDIBLY well deserved Sherman Prize, Corey! #aibd2023
One of the most important things I learned @IBDConference was on panel w/@ChronicallyJess “when pt comes in w/certain beliefs/therapies, they’re coming from a place of hope, hope that therapy “x” cures them & they don’t need y&z” . Understanding that changes the whole interaction
LOVING convos about fatigue at #aibd2023, but want more about how pts measure fatigue, and how they currently compensate in their life to manage fatigue, because if patients rate their fatigue as improved, but are still opting out of activities, fatigue is not actually improved

After being diagnosed with Lyme disease this summer, following development into severe neurological symptoms before I was heard by doctors and properly tested/treated, I’m finally stepping outside of my safe, home-based space to travel to #aibd2023! Feeling thankful to be here ✈️
📣 The latest #AboutIBDPodcast covers a tool called CDPATH, which is available now for some people w/ #Crohns. It could help in deciding, for instance, about medications. @DrCoreySiegel and @ChronicallyJess give the details on Ep 128! Listen or read here: bit.ly/AIBD128
Amazing discussion with @UmaMahadevanIBD & patient advocate @ChronicallyJess on #pregnancy & #IBD!
💎 Have conversations early & discuss safety of therapies
💎 Share data with patient & loved ones discuss openly as the emotional process is enormous
#AIBD2022 @IBDConference
Congrats to @UmaMahadevanIBD on her #shermanprize, as her work is particularly impactful for women with #ibd who are pregnant or wanting to become pregnant. She has helped bring the data to #ibdmoms who want to make safe, informed decisions on how to become moms. 💜🤰🏻💜
LOVING #aibd2022, but I’m dreaming of a day when conferences do away with all the wasteful handouts. We know that the environment impacts chronic illness… here’s one way to help reduce waste - we’ve all gone digital at this point, anyway.
Diet as therapy for IBD. Patient perspective @ChronicallyJess: Pts can internalize blame related to diet- important to reassure patients IT IS NOT THEIR FAULT. #aibd2022 @IBDConference
As an #IBD patient, really exciting to see positioning of newer therapies being discussed. Personalization is coming, fellow patient community! 🙌🏽
Thank you to @IBD_Afzali@MLongMD @DrCoreySiegel for explaining strategies to use newer tx VEDO, UST & RISA.
