Nova Arcanum is a highly trained special forces operative, serving under the Hilumian government. She was deployed into the lower sectors of Hilumia following the discovery of encrypted intelligence tied to a rogue paramilitary division operating from within the Hilumian government itself. Officially erased from public records, the organization had been carrying out covert operations involving assassinations, disappearances, illegal experimentation, and systematic destabilization designed to weaken the governing body of Hilumia from the shadows. Inserted alone into the sprawling megacity under blackout conditions, Nova was tasked with infiltrating the sector, uncovering the source of the corruption, and extracting any surviving intelligence before the operation could be buried permanently. What began as a recon mission rapidly escalated into open urban warfare. As Nova moved deeper through the neon lit industrial districts, she encountered multiple hostile fireteams guarding hidden data routes and covert facilities. Using aggressive close quarters combat, precision gunfights, and rapid vertical movement through rooftops, alleyways, transit systems, and collapsing infrastructure, she systematically eliminated the paramilitary forces attempting to contain the breach. Once the organization realized the infiltration could not be suppressed quietly, they deployed a militarized gunship to hunt her through the city sectors. Pursued through rain soaked highways and dense cyberpunk alleyways under relentless aerial fire, Nova evaded and ultimately neutralized the aircraft in a violent mid-city engagement that exposed the scale of the conspiracy. With the operation compromised, the rogue faction activated its final contingency: a cybernetically enhanced super soldier engineered specifically for high intensity urban combat. The encounter triggered a brutal close quarters battle deep within the heart of the megacity. Against overwhelming force, Nova survived through speed, tactical instinct, and relentless precision, ultimately defeating the super soldier and securing the intelligence needed to expose the organization’s hidden atrocities. But the mission revealed something far worse: the corruption inside Hilumia runs deeper than anyone believed. (An @Azuki story) ⛩️
