Evo was definitely fun and this trip is nice but it definitely solidifies a feeling ive had for a couple of months
ive by and large lost my passion for commentary and tournaments since my dad passed. i like seeing people and chatting but i truly dont have any fire for the FGC

Worst case scenario for me. WotC not being in control was always a big pro for the format
For all the people who sent threats and were advocating for this, trust me, it won't get better. The people with the biggest financial stake in the format now control it.

As a result of the threats last week against RC members, it has become impossible for us to continue operating as an independent entity. Given that, we have asked WotC to assume responsibility for Commander and they will be making decisions and announcements going forward.

hopping on this to say these are good bans
Fast Mana is really strong, especially for something designed to be a more casual format like EDH. Cards like these easily create the most one sided and "unfun" games out there
but the RC does need to be more consistent in bans 1/2

UPDATE: Changes to the banned list:
Dockside Extortionist is banned
Jeweled Lotus is banned
Mana Crypt is banned
Nadu is banned.

Rule Zero into banned cards is healthier for a large majority of players sitting down to play games.
The financial hit definitely sucks after people chased cards, but thats true of almost any ban in existence. The RC should have given more of a heads up for this stuff. 3/?

The fact that they didn't indicate that these were on the radar in anyway is a problem, and definitely increases the feels bad nature. I'm sorry to all those who were burned by this
TLDR. Bans good, but were handled poorly.
