The real issue with SH guides is the false sense of insecurity they can induce in operators. π
SH guides are safe - o/w folks wouldnβt be making holes in non-SH guides. π€·π»ββοΈ
All issues with FFR recording can be resolved by disengaging the guide. π€
An engaged SH guide is more useful than a disengaged non-SH guide, no?
There is no contrast penalty - 10 ml into any guide is 10 ml into the body.
I am sure this will come up again. And again! ππΌ Until then, use the guide you feel most comfortable with and ALWAYS pay attention to the ostium! ππΌ
