In part 2 of public transport of Indian cities, we cover the most important network for a city - bus network. And the city bus fleet in India is just NOT ENOUGH. Global benchmark is at 800-1000 buses per million people but even the top ranking Indian city is at only half of it.

The most efficient bus networks globally have high fleet size, high frequency, affordable and good integration between other modes of transport. London, Paris, Singapore are great examples. India should move towards the same with increased funding and better planning.
