As a municipal councillor, I decided I was not going to stand by while President-elect Donald Trump threatened jobs in our city and in cities across Canada. People working in the auto industry and other businesses that rely on trade have asked me, "What are you going to do to help protect our jobs?" In response, I have co-founded a group called FromCitytoCity.ca. We are giving a platform for municipal leaders in Canada to talk to municipal leaders in the US to explain the mutual damage that will be done if we have a trade war. Secondly, I wrote, filmed, and produced this commercial message, which, through the magic of technology, will be broadcast on the smartphones of everyone who attends Donald Trump's inauguration on January 20 in two weeks. As a Canadian I'm getting tired of Donald Trump insinuating that Canada would be better off as the 51st state.
