The best educators share some common threads - they care deeply, true pros, share the mission. Grateful for great Ts & mentors on my journey. (My attempt at defining excellence) WHAT IS MISSING? #JoyfulLeaders #LeadUpChat #EdChat

A4: Ask for it. Embrace it. Model how to bounce back when the feedback stings a little. Did I mention to ask for it? #MEMSPAchat
Q4: How do you RECEIVE feedback in conversations? #MEMSPAchat

A2&3: it’s all about helping Ss, families and staff know that students are the mission. The culture says more and says it better than any one person. Everything builds out from our support for students. Trust is embedded into EVERYTHING positive in a school. #MEMSPAchat

A1: our staff conversations are influenced by staff input w some teacher engagement survey insights. Fortunate to have a staff eager to collaborate & push for improvement. Shared leadership is valued. #MEMSPAchat

Snap out of the sage on the stage model - “Fostering interdependence in PLCs means solving challenges together … The discussion must be so deep that it requires everyone's thinking in the room.” #EdLeadership @Learn_Scilearningsciences.com/blog/pr…

Our students are going to inherit a world that’s even more diverse than our current one. That’s why we’re focused on equity and inclusion. We owe them every opportunity to celebrate their differences and learn from each other.

This excellent read by @RobertTalbert makes a compelling case for better grading practices in school. Measure learning, not compliance #EdChat #EdReform gradingforgrowth.com/p/the-h…

@RosaIsiah - I know you’ll let me know what’s missing! I hope you are well.
Had an awesome experience sharing ideas about the future of public ed with experts @matinga, @lilyalta & talented student Marquise Gray on @MichiganRadio. Host @aprilbaer raised excellent topics as we head into Spring 2022. fb.watch/bz6UHzzLe7/ #MichEd #edutwitter

Just watched the dunk contest. Players could earn a score between 6 and 10 from each judge. Even the NBA knows that we don’t need excessive measurements of failure. There were players who didn’t even dunk the ball! They still earned a 6. Just sayin #HSeducation.
