Why are business interests of Asda supermarket more important than the health of thousands of people? @Eluned_Morgan @CV_UHB Pendwyallt Rd has more polluting vehicles than nearly any other road I can find in the U.K. being measured by @TelraamTelraam telraam.net/nl/location/9000…

This statement offered by @VelindreMatters directly contradicts Steve Ball who is OM Development Management. We'd love to be able to trust what you say & get on with other stuff but you just never stop with the lies and contradictions. What's going on @WhitTonLabour ? Any ideas?
You may have noticed that we are currently undertaking some further work to one of the trees within the works area, next to the new bridge construction area.

So after some help from twitter & ecosia it seems this was probably an endoscope & the "ecologist" was doing a bat survey half way through cutting down this beautiful oak. Let's hope that nice big bit of loose bark wasn't part of a bat roost being ignored πŸ¦‡ @CardiffSave @_BCT_
Replying to @CleanAirForCDF
Ecologist then chucks some stuff down from the tree, don't know what it was and has long chat with project director before moving on to poke her wire device into the next branch. If anyone knows what this device is or what it's looking for that would be useful thanks

Ecologist was poking around with her wire device for over 6mins on one branch, no idea what the device is but she definitely seemed to find something compared to the 20 second poke around on other branches.

Ye I think we prob chat in different circles. The women and men I speak to are put off from getting into politics by the fact you have to sell your soul to be a part of it. You can't stand up for the people you represent, your hands are tied in terms of actually helping people.

You end up having to compromise your beliefs on very important issues. You end up spending your time attending, meetings, events & promoting things instead of helping the people you represent locally. I know people who have left local politics in #Cardiff for these very reasons.

So today in #Cardiff we are all smoking more than 1 cigarette. That's all the babies, elderly & vulnerable people across our city. Please @cardiffcouncil install real time AQ monitors so we can see the dangers & adjust our behaviour to protect our health. It's not a waste of πŸ’·
Want to know how many cigarettes you're smoking simply by breathing the air in your neighbourhood? Yes or no, now you can: πŸš¬πŸšπŸπŸš—πŸšžβœˆοΈ airqualitynews.com/2023/02/0… @UCBerkley @ImpUrbanHealth @cities_clean @DrMariaNeira #airpollution #airqualityindex

Woeful inaction here from @DefraGovUK. Only aiming for achievable targets feels quite the opposite of "world-leading". Meanwhile another generation will grow up with stunted lungs. #EnvironmentAct #AirPollution theguardian.com/environment/…

Long-term exposure to even comparatively low levels of air pollution could cause depression & anxiety, according to a study exploring the links between air quality & mental ill-health. Are you sure there's no money to realtime monitor air @cardiffcouncil? theguardian.com/environment/…

Current UK picture. Anyone have link to report @Channel4News? ⁩You can see data via satellite; frame in seconds. Nowhere in UK currently meets new ⁦@WHO⁩ guidelines (2021) nor any other country. There’re interim targets for countries to work towards ⁦@DrMariaNeira⁩

All the land you see here being built on is a Nature Reserve in Wales 😱 What exactly is the point of designating any land in Wales as a Nature Reserve - if there are no laws to protect it. @SeneddClimate @LlyrGruffydd @DelythJewellAM @JennyRathbone @huw4ogmore

Is @cardiffcouncil taking issue of #CleanAir as seriously as it could & should? By allowing mass dev in #Cardiff north, they are decimating benefits of green spaces, ⬆️traffic which⬆️danger levels #AirPollution impacting our #Health. @CardiffSave @HETRA14 @savehaileypark
All in health know how deadly the impact of air pollution on health is. PM2.5 is the most deadly it enters the blood stream. Been found in placentas of pregnant women, in brain cancer & dementia patients. It was in Ella’s lungs seen in her post mortem. She had lungs of a smoker
