As we celebrate this milestone, our staff would also like to honor Dave Muchow, who served as CEBN Counsel before he sadly passed last year. Dave facilitated CEBN's transition from The Pew Charitable Trusts to BCSE nine years ago and was one of our biggest champions.
After six months of being closed, SBIR/STTR will officially reopen after the President signed a reauthorization bill into law on April 13th.

Last month, ten small business leaders from across the country joined CEBN on Capitol Hill for 25 meetings to advocate for federal investment in energy innovation. They shared how DOE programs like SBIR support small businesses and strengthen America’s clean energy economy.
Additionally, we championed for cleantech R&D funding and strong spending guardrails in FY27.
