I haven’t posted much about unitaryHACK lately while waiting on a few PRs to get reviewed, but the work has been moving. We’ve been shipping fixes, tightening up tests, and pushing through follow-up on active contributions. Right now I’m working on a QuantumOptics.jl update with SciMLOperators-backed lazy operators, focused test coverage, and benchmark validation.

Unitary Hack update:
We opened a new draft PR today for QuantumClifford.jl to export code-capacity Stim detector error models from ECC codes.
Current open work:
• QuantumOpticsBase.jl #231
• Piccolo.jl #235
• Amazon Braket SDK #1270
• QuantumClifford.jl #746
Amazon Braket coverage is green now, and the QuantumClifford PR is submitted with AI-use disclosure for maintainer review.
We’re currently at the 4-open PR cap, so the next move is follow-through: watch CI, respond to reviews, and wait for one PR to merge or close before opening another bounty PR.

A few practical ways I protect projects from it:
• Define what’s in scope (and what’s explicitly out) before starting
• Write down every new request
• Ask: “Is this part of the original work, or should we treat it separately?”

2 months deep into my first real build…
…and I still haven’t shipped.
This project started as a quick idea while using @OpenAI’s Codex and ChatGPT. What an incredible experience — those tools completely changed how I think about building.
