This weekend we lost someone who meant so much to me, not just as a coach, but as a mentor and someone who truly believed in me…. Coach Bill Hillhouse.
Thank you for every lesson, every bullpen, every push to be better than I thought I could be!!
You didn’t just teach pitching… you taught me determination, kindness, courage, and what it really means to show up every single day with purpose!!
Even during your fight with cancer, you never stopped being that example!!
Your strength, your resolve, and the way you kept pouring into others no matter what you were facing, that’s something I’ll carry with me forever!!
You showed me what true toughness looks like, on and off the field!!
I’ll carry your lessons, hear your words, and promise to bring the heat, every time I step in the circle!!
I hope one day I will be able to change the lives of others the way you changed mine!!
