Nordics are massively overrated. I haven’t programmed them once since I became a head S&C coach.
My tiers for avoiding hamstring injuries:
1:
Avoidance of massive increases in volume in conditioning/practice
Sprinting twice a week
2:
Split squats and single leg/staggered RDL’s
The surge in the use of Nordics as a hamstring injury preventative is alarming. Nordics are the cause of the disease, not part of the cure. They spread the disease, they don't vaccinate against it.
