Always think World Cups are so beautiful for associative memory. They come every four years, allow you to reflect on life, how far you have come, where you were when it last came and just an opportunity to somehow be grateful for everything.

This is what separates OKC. So many coaches and players in the league that go to the podium and make excuses. The Thunder, despite all the negative perception, have never been an org that makes excuses. They just evolve and grow.
Mark Daigneault on Jalen Williams and Ajay Mitchell being out: “We have not been an excuse team ever and we’re not going to start now.”

The world is so far from this black and white. But it’s nice to play pretend. This is why the coaching profession *still* has people working for free in 2026.
At the end of the day… … do you want the opportunity or not

I would love if coaches stopped glorifying the “work for free and work your way up” deal. I was fortunate enough to have the support this absolutely requires, a lot of people are not. Paying your dues and being reasonably and respectfully compensated are not mutually exclusive

Is this just what NBA twitter is now? Complaining about officiating after every single goddam game? Fanbases arguing which team gets a worst whistle or who flops more or editing clips? This fun for you all? I actually like basketball, but I’m afraid a lot of you don’t.

Spurs/Thunder might be the most interesting chess match between two coaching staffs in NBA history. The constant battle between the Spurs trying to keep Wemby at the basket, and the Thunder adjusting their spacing in each game to get him out. The Spurs trying to keep Shai away from the middle of the floor and out of the paint completely, while the Thunder change screening angles, floor alignments, etc. to get him space to operate. Then in Game 4, the Spurs going away from doubles, and the Thunder finding a way to consistently force 2 on the ball in Game 5. On the other side, the Spurs trying to get Wemby free in the paint on offense, and the Thunder doing everything in their power to push him to the perimeter. Every game of this series has looked completely different. It’s been a masterclass for anyone who cares about more than “falling” and ref discourse.

The referees were correct in denying Mitch Johnson that challenge. The rule is very specific: he needs to first call timeout, then challenge. He never signaled for the timeout before signaling for the challenge.

Dude wants the best athletes in the world to be modeled off middle aged dudes hooping at the Y 😂 Caruso / Mitchell fouls on Castle would start a fight in pick-up. Should those not be called fouls?
I’ve talked about this on the show: if it would start a fight in pickup, refs shouldn’t call the foul.

Men die by suicide at 4x the rate of women and one of the biggest drivers of that is that men are less likely to ask for help. Dana White is proof that you can be very rich and still an idiot.
Dana White explains why he hates men's mental health culture "I hate this whole men's mental health stuff that they talk about. Unfortunately, when you're a man, you are the provider, you can't be that guy posting on social media, oh I had a bad day and I'm so sad" "It's unattractive to other males, let alone women"
