The pay for the amount of work required especially in football isn't keeping up and families gotta pay bills.

I argue that the high turnover of Head Coaches, as high as we have seen it since documenting changes at almost 600 schools in So Cal is because the demands on the Head Football Coach have NEVER been as great as they are today.
It's a year round job on a 3 month stipend.
Mix this with many bad administrators - recipe for disaster.

The average high school head football coach stipend is around $7,000. Fluctuating heavily
For that, they’re expected to coach year-round, run a program, mentor kids, manage parents, recruit their own halls, fundraise, break down film, coordinate staffs, and be available almost 24/7.
Football coaches are grossly underpaid for what we ask of them.
