When evaluating ball handing here are some skills I look at-
Are you efficient with your dribble?
Can you attack a close out with either hand?
Do you handle with pace?
Do you dribble with a purpose?
Do you have a tight handle?

When I was a college coach, there were zero recruits whom I really wanted that I didn't call on the phone.
I often started with email/text, but always set up a phone call.
The Lesson:
If a coach isn't calling you, it's likely his/ her interest isn't high (yet).

There's a difference between attention and a coach actually recruiting you.
Attention can be a follow back, a camp invite, maybe a conversation or two.
Recruitment is multiple phone calls, campus visit, going to games, and clear next steps.

Fake offers don’t help you get recruited.
College coaches can usually see right through them.
They create unrealistic expectations about your true level.
Focus on real opportunities and finding the right fit, not collecting offers.

Stop chasing schools that aren't chasing you. You can't force a program to recruit you. Focus on the ones showing lovego where you're wanted, not just where you wish you were wanted. That's how you win!

1️⃣ Stop posting “Recruiting Interest.” College staffs know where you stand. Means u have 3-5 prospects ahead of u. If legit, they’ll offer.
2️⃣ A preferred walk-on is NOT a commitment. Don’t market it like one. Coaches notice unnecessary hype & can be seen as drama.
3️⃣ If your goal is to play college ball, be at TABC (June 26-28). Exposure outweighs another AAU weekend. If your school isn’t attending, play with a neighboring high school #AlamoCityHoops #NEP #DontAtMe 💯
