The Best Thing I Saw This Weekend Wasn’t the Comeback open.substack.com/pub/cgoodr…
A 7th-grade team was down 22 at halftime.
The coach asked the players to pick 5 guys who wanted to compete in the second half.
Those 5 played the entire half.
Went on a 33-9 run. Won by 2.
My son never played a minute in the second half.
And the best part of the story wasn't the comeback.
It was the bench.
