Today, we lost a true Oklahoma treasure. Viola Fletcher — the oldest living survivor of the Tulsa Race Massacre — spent her 111 years shining a light on a history our state must never again ignore.
Her courage to speak the truth, even when others tried to deny it, changed the way Oklahoma understands its past and its responsibility to build a more just future.
May we honor her legacy not just with words, but with action — by fighting for a state where every family feels safe, seen, and valued. Rest in power, Mother Fletcher
