✨ International Women’s Day at the Guggenheim ✨
Today, we celebrate the incredible women artists who have shaped the Guggenheim’s past, present, and future. From our newest exhibition “Rigor and Beauty” by Beatriz Milhazes, to Jenny Holzer, who challenges power and language through text-based art.
We honor the bold visions of Hilma af Klint, a pioneer of spiritual abstraction; Louise Bourgeois, whose sculptures explore memory and identity; Gego, redefining space with intricate wire structures; Agnes Martin, Julie Mehretu, Adriana Varejão, and many others who continue to inspire and provoke thought in our galleries.
This
#InternationalWomensDay, we recognize the trailblazers who have transformed modern and contemporary art—and those who will continue to shape its future. Join us in celebrating their legacy today and every day.
