Today on St Barnabas Day, we give thanks for Barnabas, the “son of encouragement” (Acts 4:36). We are named after Barnabas, a good man, full of faith and the Holy Spirit. He strengthened the body of Christ and advocated for Paul when others were hesitant (Acts 9:26–27).

Today at Barnabas, we remember and celebrate Good Friday. On the day of sacrifice and true love, Jesus, in His perfection, willingly gave His life for the sins of us, His children. John 19:30 "Jesus said, 'It is finished.' With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit."

Christians are severely persecuted in Pakistan. With over 1 million Christians held as bonded labourers - effectively modern day slaves, and others facing the daily threat of false blasphemy allegations, it is hard place to be a follower of Jesus. If it wasn’t for organisations like @BarnabasAid you’d never hear about these tragic stories.
