Residents are out on Danforth today to fight Bill 212 and advocate for true BALANCE on our streets between all transit modes with safe and connected micromobility infrastructure. This intersection in the danforth moves 20x this number of people in the bike lane every day.

To clarify: I'm not the creator of this initiative - it was started by Colin Campbell at U of T's Climate Positive Energy team @UofT_CPE. Everyone is welcome to play along, whether you regularly drive or not. Car-free folks - share how you do it!

What a great video and story. Just love seeing the progress being made in the #micromobility space from individual use to small businesses moving products around cities more efficiently like this. Well done @CurbsideCycle @DeliveredByBike

$355M in 2024 for planting trees?Must have missed the release about funding to protect the trees we already have @JustinTrudeau @NRCan. And planting mono crops? The verdict is already out on that one. You know that’s not a forest, right? cbc.ca/news/politics/canada-… #climatechange

Is there a reason the recycling and compost is being mixed together in the @GFLenv truck driving down my street this morning? @cityoftoronto Maybe it’s time we look to countries like Sweden for how to actually divert waste. #Sustainability

Let’s get going Ontario! $10.2B from the federal government to reduce the cost of daycare. @liberal_party What’s the hold up? 9 provinces already have accepted the welcomed funding. @OntarioPCParty Let’s get focused.

I assume you’re going to air a documentary so @netflix viewers can also see what the logging industry is doing to the last old growth forests in Canada. Am I correct? I’m sure the @SaveFairyCreek can help you find a film to add to the platform. #FairyCreek
Happy to hear this news. Definitely a step in the right direction to protecting all old growth forests on the west coast. 🌲B.C. judge refuses to extend court injunction at Fairy Creek - Vancouver Sun apple.news/AgAM6DSlwQMuVRzgx…
For all the travellers out there. If you do need to take a plane, consider offsetting your carbon emissions with @TreeCanada Two people flying a 4,200 km round trip = 17 trees @ $51 CAD per person. Next trip will be by electric car or train

Highly recommend this read. #DigitalMinimalism
It’s time to give a flake. For everyone hitting the slopes this weekend- if you want your kids to be able to ski 30 years from now, you better get behind climate action in your province or state. #GiveAFlake @ProtectWinters nytimes.com/2019/02/02/opini…

By switching to an EV, I’d gladly use the $2,000 saved per year to pay for families who cannot afford the $244 passed on to consumers in the event businesses don’t change. However, I guarantee they’ll use the additional pollution cost line item to find ways to reduce pollution.
